On Monday October 27, 2025 Justin Andrew- Fire Chief/Director of Protective Services at Town of Olds received this life saving device at a handover with OHFC Chair, Barry McCurdy and Jeff Hammel- Hospital Site Manager!

...

🤔You're probably wondering, "Well that's not hospital equipment! Why would we fund it?"

You're right, it's not hospital equipment- but it also IS.

...

❓Did you know the ER department received an exact device to treat with Carbon monoxide (CO) exposure cases locally without the need to be transferred to Red Deer?

...

Now that we've funded 2 of devices, both our hospital and Fire Services can act quickly and respond to such cases with life saving devices.

...

Did you also know?:

➡Patients can be exposed to CO from various sources, including faulty heating systems, automobile exhaust, industrial solvents like methylene chloride, cigarette smoke, and fires.

...

Thank you to all our donors who make these purchases possible.
