On a hospital tour at the Long Term Care Unit, we were able to see first hand the behind-the-scenes of the mechanics of an overhead bed lift. It sounds pretty simple in theory, but in practice- medical staff can use the lift with persons weighing up to 600lbs.

They provide a safe way to move people with limited mobility without putting strain on caregivers or risking injury.
