We understand that there is a desperate need for increased healthcare providers, not in Olds but across Canada. The "New Year's Baby" for Olds, Alberta, in 2026 is Dane Klassen, born to Briana and Tristan Klassen of Three Hills on January 3rd at the Olds Hospital & Care Centre. Dane was born around 6 a.m., weighing 8.4 pounds (3,840 grams), and received gifts from local officials and organizations celebrating him as the first baby of the year for the area".
